=======================================================
I think I’m going insane.
It’s been half a day since the tidal wave hit, stranding me and my companions on this roof. Ever since the wave hit, nobody’s had the strength or life left in them to talk, which could be contributed to the fact we have no food or water. The only person’s name I know here is Caitlin and Nimrod if you count him.
I’m beginning to think the silence is getting to me, since I’m starting to respond to the voices in my head. Luckily, if you could call it luck, I haven’t started to talk out loud yet, but I’m pretty sure I am getting there. If I go insane, I only hope Caitlin can make it out alive, since I’m sure my insanity wouldn’t be a pretty sight.
But, I’ve strayed off topic, back to the fact that I’m stuck on a roof top in the middle of a new ocean. Actually, I’m sure that I could make it easily to dry land, but if I leave Caitlin could be injured. Only with me is she safe from ‘them’.
Caitlin I know isn’t a bad person, but these two others I’m not too sure about. Every time I focus too hard on those two, images of them start to appear in my mind’s eye. One image was of the woman in some kind of submarine, while a few others had the guy in scuba gear, hiding under some kind of dock.
There were too many other pictures to keep track of, but the gist of it I got. These two people, the guy and woman both, had encountered multiple creatures like Nim. This I didn’t know what to make of. Should I ask them how? When or why? Should I tell them about my ‘condition’ and see if they could help me?
So far, whenever I have had thoughts about revealing myself, I received negative feelings from Nimrod and the others of his kind. They didn’t trust these two, so neither would I. For the time being.

Their driving me more insane.
It’s still the same day, and nothing interesting has happened. At least, not anything the others are aware of. On my part, I have been very busy keeping Nimrod’s kind away from our safe haven. So far, I have been successful in that aspect. The reason I am keeping them away is because I don’t want Laura and Rich to find out about me.
That’s right, I finally know their names. Laura and Rich, no last names, but I guess those aren’t very important in the middle of the ocean. The sad thing is that it took half a day for us to introduce ourselves, and it would have taken longer if Laura’s curiosity hadn’t gotten the better of her. Her curiosity about Nim, that is.
The moment she asks one question, she changes her mind and asks a different one. It doesn’t help that every time I try to answer Rich butt’s in asking an entirely different question. Adding the fact that they treat Nimrod like he’s just a stupid animal has strengthened my desire to keep my ‘condition’ a secret.
Caitlin knows about me, but while Laura and Rich were busy discussing the food and water problem I was able to talk to her. She agreed to keep my secret, which is another thing to add to my ‘Why I love Caitlin’ list, which is already very long.
The only thing I like about this day so far is that I believe Nim is starting to warm up to Caitlin, since before I think Nimrod was jealous of her. I have no idea why, but it may have to do with the fact that I’m starting to wonder if Nim isn’t a boy like I always thought…
Wait… Something’s happening…
This isn’t good, no not good. Not good at all. I don’t think ‘their’ listening to me right now…Holy Sh…

It’s gone from bad, to worse.
After I lost contact with Nimrod’s kind, they ‘decided’ to come visit their cousin and friends. I suppose visit isn’t an appropriate term in this case, since their ‘visit’ induced mass hysteria and loss of consciousness. That’s the only good thing about this ‘visit’, the others were unconscious before the really interesting things started happening.
Let me explain what happened if you’re confused. It all began when the first Nessie (I’ve decided to call them Nessie’s, since I can’t keep calling them… well, them) stopped following my instructions about keeping away from the roof. During this time I started to really panic, which made Laura and Rich start to wonder why. This led to them looking into the water, and as you could guess, started them on their panic attacks.
Actually, their panic attacks only started when the first Nessie joined us on the roof. Laura and Rich’s reactions were justified I guess, since the Nessie was around the size of a large car, and the roof really didn’t have room to spare. Now, around this time Caitlin, though knowing about my secret, started to join Laura and Rich in panic mode.
And again, things only got worse. A minute or two later more Nessie’s had congregated on our position, and Laura, Rich, and Caitlin had reached the black-out point. That’s about when the interesting things started happening, beginning with Nimrod deciding that a proper welcome was in order, so he started sending out small green waves of electricity to the other Nessie’s.
Now, I being mostly human did not know at the time that sending a small burst of energy at the other was a polite and proper greeting. So, I reacted like any mostly normal human being would when strange Nessie’s started sending small energy burst’s at you. I followed Nimrod’s example and stayed still while the green electrical storm built up around us.
